Minterland lost a beloved friend last December. We knew Donna Hill best as a devoted mom to her special Minter Baby, William H. Powell, but Donna was also a silent-film aficionado, with a special fondness for Valentino. She even wrote a book about him and was a highly respected resource for films of that era.
Donna’s memorial service will be held today at the Valentino Shrine at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. What a fitting place for her to rest! The service begins today at 12 PST, and Minterland will hold a collective moment of silence for our friend.
Today also happens to be Minterland Thursday Story Time, and in honor of Donna, who loved her kitty so, we are featuring her William H. Powell. William saved a sick little kitten, and he made the last month’s of Donna’s journey so very happy.
We miss you, Donna. Say hi to Valentino for us.
